When I started my post at nGeneration, I was put through a “train-the-trainer” class as everyone who started at the company completed this course.

It was a very challenging course as you were scrutinised by all the other staff members and the train-the-trainer couse is much more difficult than learning how to train users. Every little element of your delivery training was under the microscope and every erm, ahh etc was noted and you were given feedback on your performance.

My instruction was on “how to swing a golf club” which I researched and delivered and was very well received.

Following my training I was sent out in to the field to perform upgrades on POS solutions.

I had a number of large projects I worked on during my time at nGeneration, and I worked on them in isolation. My skillset and experience was vast at this stage of my career, and I was fully capable of all stages of project management and delivery in isolation.

I successfully delivered 3 major projects:

I migraded 100 laptops from Windows NT to Windows XP for our client GameStation using ghost technology I perfected in a previous role.

I created a user manual for a ePOS solution.

I delivered training to 100 trainees migrating from Microsoft Outlook to Lotus Notes. This was the highlight of my challenges as I had a very brief knowledge of Lotus Notes, and was given no time to prepare and deliver the course.

I was informed about the project on Wednesday, I downloaded and setup and learnt about the Lotus Notes Server and Client by Friday at home, created a training course over the weekend, and delivered to the client the following week.
